ABOUT HENA
Hena Khan is the award-winning author of the middle grade novels, such as Amina’s Voice, More to the Story, and the Zayd Saleem: Chasing the Dream series. Hena is a Pakistani-American Muslim who was born and raised in Maryland, and enjoys sharing and writing about her culture and religion. Like many other authors, Henna Khan grew up with my nose in a book. The books she connected with as a child left a bigger impression on her than almost anything else she has come across today. This is why she loves writing for kids—in the hopes that they'll pick up something she wrote more than once, and let it become part of who they are. Hena is a big fan of Spain and Spanish culture, enjoys cooking and baking for family and friends, and has spent much of her life writing and editing for international organizations that work to improve the health of people around the world.
